And sometimes they’re mostly derivative–because that’s what the laws of causality tend to dictate. But then, even yet, they sometimes capture some moment of thought or emotion that nobody else has managed to express quite so well.

Or, in other words, I understand that Rancid’s not actually a punk band in the hard sense and that Hellcat’s a bit sketch, even if they just re-released Operation Ivy’s album. But you have to admit that this song is pretty freaking good:
