While yesterday’s news out of Newport was disappointing, we can take solace in today’s swearing-in of activist and small businessman Frank Ferri as the new rep from Warwick.  His victory demonstrated the power of Rhode Island’s social justice movement — and is a great win for environmental, civil rights, education, and labor advocates alike.
