Misogyny's a very pervasive and damaging phenomenon, and it's good to keep an eye out for it and to point it out when it shows up. It's also a good idea not to hallucinate it everywhere you look.

And yeah, Keough, if you hate movies so much, stop watching them. Yeesh.

At least Keough brings some intelligence. With the ProJo, you can almost guarantee that if they don't like a movie, you will, and vice versa.

In case y'all haven't seen it, may I recommend the hilarious abortion movie 'Citizen Ruth' with the amazing Laura Dern. Both sides get properly skewered. Smart script... all the better for not being at all poignant.

Keough is possibly the most frustrating type of movie critic. You can see there is intelligence there, but he is so stubborn and old-fashioned that he just dismisses pretty much everything he sees and the intelligence goes to waste - no open mindedness blinds you from seeing the movie. Knocked Up was one of the best movies of the year, without a doubt. It's a very funny movie with fully fleshed out characters, clear motivations, great dialogue, etc. I don't get the misogynistic criticism of it - it's totally misplaced. Film critics shouldn't put their personal moral values upon characters and judge movies this way. Nice piece man, Keough really bothers me.
