Legendary upsetter Lee “Scratch” Perry’s next record, to be produced by Andrew WK, will feature contributions from Moby, Lightning Bolt’s Brian Chippendale, Don Fleming (of Gumball and more importantly Bongwater), and a dude from Matisyahu’s band. The hell?! (via Pitchfork)

That’s cool for Chippendale and everything but I’m confused as to why the legendary producer Perry would need anyone other than himself to produce anything for him. Strange.

radical and thrilling at first glance but frikkin Moby? As long as he doesn’t sing. Or get all ambient mystical melodic tech-house on me. Confine him to an 8 track and Moby is alright.
