Klaus Dinger, founder of krautrock legends Kraftwerk and one of my all time favorites Neu!, died on March 20th at the age of 61. His rhythmic drumming style, dubbed ‘motorik’, was an inspiration to countless punk, post-punk and new wave groups not to mention Kraftwerk’s pivotal role in creating modern dance music like disco, techno and house.
