I’ve never actually eaten at Angelo’s. Don’t tell anybody:
When the U.S. Small Business Administration recently named Angelo’s restaurant on Federal Hill its family-owned business of the year, proprietor Bob Antignano laid out a spread that included veal and peppers and fried calamari.

I went there once with my grandfather when I was about seven because he grew up on the Hill and loved it there, and I thought the food was traumatizingly bad. But then, I’m a vegetarian now.

You can always have the spaghetti agli olio-and in flu season it will keep people at a distance for a few hours.
