Mudhoney’s Back With Superfuzz Bigmuff Reissue

Mudhoney’s Superfuzz Bigmuff was one of the handful of early 90’s records that shaped my budding adolescent tastes. (it came out in ‘88, but I didn’t get into it until Kurt Cobain told me it was cool 3 years later) Along with Goo, Bleach, and L7’s Hungry For Stink, Mudhoney so satiated my thirst for immense guitars and hooky noise that they effectively ruined me on all heaviosity from then on.
Honestly, no newer band can match that era for its heavy-to-sweet ratio, and fuck Queens Of The Stone Age. That it took this long for its re-release at a time when even Pavement’s meh-era gets the double-disc reissue treament is a mystery, but it seems that they were waiting to get it perfect because this deluxe edition is crammed with singles, b-sides, compilation-only tracks, demos, and two complete live sets from the year of its original release.
