Sameer Mishra is one cool customer. What a great kid*. Here he is at the finals of the Scripps National Spelling Bee, carried live Friday on national television. This wasn’t the end, but he is the 2008 Champ. (N.B. Scrabble players — NUMNAH is no good.) And don’t forget the spelling bee at AS220, Monday night at 8PM, with our own Matthew Lawrence.

*I don’t know the age limit on this contest, but the boy who came in second had a mustache. He probably had to buy the beer for the after-party.
