In the run-up to the August Olympics, Chinese officials have started closing down the coal-burning power plants and steel mills to clear the air of pollution. There’s just one teeny tiny little problem — the Gobi Desert is blowing into town. Pictured here — pedestrians in the Olympic Green Zone (green for phlegm). Smoking has been banned in all venues as well. That oughta help.
