The Show Is The Rainbow, from Omaha, is kinda like the Zack Galifianakis of electro-skronky tech-funk, in that he is funny and has a beard. According to my wholly journalistic source his new record is “produced by some guy from the Faint”, and that source is the always-lovable Spanish Dancer. While TSITR’s recorded music is awesomely heavy in the strangled-funk guitar department, who knows what it’ll sound like live but the results will most definitely be somewhere in the neighborhood of “mind blowing”. Spanish Dancer’s heavily layered electrophonics are always great live; heavily psychedelic, acid-y and just all over the place with his manic, disconnected word flow fucking up the proceedings. They’ll both share the stage with UUVVWWZ, a very cool sounding little band so get there early. AS220, The Show Is The Rainbow, Spanish Dancer, UUVVWWZ 9pm, $7
