Actually, I just saw that the twin towers are there, hopefully meaning they didn’t try to update it. I still couldn’t tell if the comedian was in Vietnam or Iraq, though.

So far, everyone claims that it’s going to be ridiculously faithful… and I’m willing to forget 90% (o.k. 97%) of the comic-based movies out there that say otherwise… until I see it, of course.

Eric Smith Says:
They’ve kept it mid-80’s alternate history, far as I know. I guess they were originally going to have it take place “now”, but scrapped that idea. Check the official website, it’s pretty cool.

I really hate Zack Snyder, but everything I’ve seen from this looks totally beautiful, and almost too faithful. And I’m not usually a big fan of CG, but when the trailer shows the crystal palace on Mars I actually mist up a little bit.

Kyle Says:
They’ve definitely kept it mid-80s with Nixon still in office. Everything is pretty much the same. I didn’t read the script but back when people were upset that Greengrass wasn’t directing I’d heard that the end catastrophe in NY was being changed a little - I don’t know for sure what’s up with that though.
