So I had two tickets to Rhode Island Monthly’s best of party last night at the PPAC, which I though were because I had written a small thing in the last issue ( I specialize in puff pieces) but they were actually sent because the Daily Dose won some thing for best blog or waste of time or something equally prestigious. The tickets were addressed to Providence Daily Dose attn: Eric Smith, which I didn’t notice because I was probably stoned. This is what happens when your headquarters are spread across my apartment, a high-rise left-wing commune downtown, and an unlicensed massage parlor. Anyways, I met a few lovely ladies from RI Monthly last night who informed me of the prestigious award and told me that their whole staff reads our site all day when they’re supposed to be working, or something to that effect. They were slurring their words pretty bad, so that’s all I could make out. Was there a point to this post? Oh yeah, Thank you Rhode Island Monthly!
