Yes, in many respects, the structures of our imperfect democracy kind of suck. (Disproportionate influence by moneyed interests, first-past-the-post elections, all sorts of disenfranchisement, and indirect election of the President, to name a few ways.)
But in the meantime, while you’re a-waitin’ for (or even oh-so-slyly fomenting) that there revolution, please register to vote. You have just one week left to do so in order to vote in the primary, and back those few candidates who really do support social movements, organizing, and reformation of our political structures.
