I know there are dose-ers out there with children. Give a shout out in the comment to let me know you’re alive - and I’ll post more kid friendly stuff in the future.
My two year old has three things she like to do during playtime. Read, ride her bike, and play with play-doh. With a new infant in the house, riding her bike has to wait until Sir Alex Daddypants gets home and reading only entertains her for so long.
In comes Play-doh! All of our store bought variety has long since dried up, but I found that it’s cheaper and safer (and more time consuming) for her to just make her own. Here’s the recipe:
No-cook Play-doh
4 tablespoons of white flour
2 tablespoons of salt
1 dropper-full of vegetable oil
2 tablespoons of water
Add the dry ingredients in a bowl. If you want to add a few drops of food coloring, make sure to add it to the water, otherwise it will be difficult to get a uniform color. Little by little, add the water. At first, stir with a spoon - once all of the water is added, start smooshing the mixture with your hands until it reaches the desired consistency. Store in an air-tight container in the fridge when not in use.
Most likely, it will end up drying out after a day or two of heavy use. But then you get to make more. So Fun!

My daughter is going into high school this fall~ so I don’t get to make this much anymore…
But~ another fun step is instead of food coloring, put in a packet of unsweetened Kool-Aid,
the you get color & a tooty fruity smell!
If you’re into that kind of thing
