If you haven’t gone to his website, do it.
Then, contemplate that, if you are under 30, what happened tonight was probably the most important historical event to happen in your/my lifetime. This is real. President Obama. He Can. We Can.
Was it a damn good speech? Yes it was? Was it geared toward me and my ilk (eg young northeastern progressives)? Not really. Was it still damn fine? Yes. Did I shed tears? Yes, I did.
Some memorable lines (”The Republicans have to own their failure,” “McCain won’t even follow Bin laden to the Cave where lives,” “Eight is enough,” which even he laughed at). Some great rhetoric, some gutsy moves (bringing up the idea of compromise on guns, gay marriage and abortion, AND pulling it off).
But what’s perhaps most amazing is that, just like at those first rallies in IA and NH, you’ve got democrats, progressive, young dems even, unabashedly chanting “USA, USA!” It is a new fucking world people.
God Bless America. Drink the Kool-Aid.

I don’t think so.Alot of people will note vote for him, even if they say they will.Race will play some role in that-not what it would have 20 years ago,but it will still be there.
Lack of real experience and wavering confidence in him as potential Commander in Chief will account for many more lost votes.
