I don’t think I’ve played a video game since Madden ‘94 came out when I was in sixth grade,  but the inclusion of Lush’s De-Luxe on Rock Band 2 makes me think I might need to give it another try.

This Friday from five to ten, Harmonix and IndieArts/ri will be in Grants’ Block Plaza (aka. the bocce court next to the Black Rep, facing that parking lot that was being bulldozed last time I walked by) with giveaways and your chance to play Rock Band 2 on a big screen in front of lots of people.  If you’ve ever dreamed of impressing the Downcity/PPAC crowd with your knowledge of Alex Chilton, Pretend We’re Dead, Drain You, or the Muffs’ cover of Kids In America, then this Friday will be, like, the best day ever for you. And if you’re any good at Hungry Like The Wolf I might even buy you a beer.

Just don’t do Spoonman.  I hate that song.

  1. funny… I’m one of the developers at Harmonix and I didn’t even know about this.
