RI Gets ‘B’ on Net-Metering

Up from last year’s ‘C’ rating, thanks to the hard work of the environmentalist activist community, and a number of legislators.
Net-metering is important because it makes it feasible to put up small bunches of wind turbines — this newly-announced Tiverton project, for instance. (Retiring Tiverton rep Joe Amaral is one of the aformentioned legislators.)
To thank them, remember to hit up Clean Water Action’s Electoberfest at Trinity Brewhouse tomorrow, and the Environmental Council of Rhode Island’s fundraiser next Friday.
Now, if only we could get everybody on the same page on the wind farm issue.
