Need a sweet new t-shirt even though its 10 degrees and snowing out?
Well then check out a new t-shirt collection called RI Threads, created by Providence locals Myles Dumas and Róisín McGettigan. The shirts aim to help promote Providence and Rhode Island, as well as boost local pride. All of the screen-printing is done right here in Providence (local jobs YEA!) and the designs were created to appeal to a variety of tastes, making sure everyone can rep Rhody in their own way. So far the two designs attracting the most attention are are a bold and bright typographic layout of “Rhode Island and Providence Plantations” and a flowing, wave inspired logo for the “Ocean State”. The shirts are available for purchase online or in-store at Pleasant Surprise, Queen of Hearts, and Topiary Floral Design & Decor.

Really slick graphics, good use of local talent and kudos for doing the printing here in RI. Curious how RI&PP shirt will sell considering the debate over the “P” word.
