BY H.L. Parker
Known throughout New England for her murals and portraiture, Rhode Island artist Susan Dwyer returns to her first artistic love — paintings of 1950’s pop culture iconography.
With HOMEMAKERS, Dwyer re-imagines classic 1950’s American domestic scenes with a same-sex spin; benign settings torn from the pages of magazines like Good Housekeeping finally receive the imagery for which so many couples have longed.
Music by Mark Cutler.
