Happy Thanksgiving And/Or Hannukah

max weinberg And extra thanks to Nordstrom and Costco for letting their employees have the day off. This point is moot in Rhode Island and Massachusetts where Blue Laws survive prohibiting retailers from opening on Thanksgiving (waivers can be obtained from bars and pharmacies so you can still have your fun).

Vote with your dollars this month and spend money with businesses that treat their employees humanely. Costco has a good reputation in this area. (I just wish they hadn’t backed down and apologized following the recent flap over labeling their bible inventory as ‘fiction.’ They promised to correct the mistake. Mistake?)
