Peregrine Webcam Is Up — Cuatro Huevos!
It’s that time of the year again. The Audubon Society of Rhode Island has turned on the Peregrine Falcon webcam atop the Superman Building. By March 31st there were four eggs in the nest.
The female (guessing here) occasionally gets up to fiddle with the clutch but there really isn’t a whole lot of action right now. In fact, she looks pretty damn bored.
But that nesting box looks spanking. Is that hardware from the new Martha Stewart ‘Birds, Brackets, and Bolts’ collection?
This image is just a screen grab of course. For the real deal check out Providence Raptors where urban wildlife photographer Peter Green has beautifully captured the peregrine falcons, red-tailed hawks, bald eagles, and snowy owls that are stalking your tiny poodle* even as we speak.
You can help keep the webcam and nesting box going — make a donation to ASRI here.
*Probably just the eagles . . . and I don’t think ‘stalking’ is the right word. Perhaps an ASRI expert can tell you how to eagle-proof your dog.
