Fireworks At India Point
(7.4) Head over to India Point Park this Monday for the city’s Fourth of July fireworks (rain date Tuesday the 5th). The celebrating starts with a bike parade from City Hall. According to the ProJo,
Children and adults are encouraged to join Mayor Jorge O. Elorza’s first annual Independence Day Bike Parade. It starts at 6 p.m. at Providence City Hall, and will pick up more bicyclists by the India Point playground at 6:30 p.m. A bike valet will park bikes for free.
Parking will be restricted along India Street. South Main and India streets will be one-way from Point Street along South Main under the I-Way Bridge underpass, west to the Wyndham Hotel. Just park somewhere aways away and walk over.
Local Latin rockers Santa Mamba kick off the main stage festivities at 8pm with fireworks to follow at 9:15pm.
