Volunteer Riverfront Repair Project Continues
(8.24) Last Wednesday dozens of volunteers sanded and painted over 100 pillars along the riverwalk. So kudos to all the volunteers — it looks fantastic. But Rich Pezzillo of the Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA) says there is more to do.
So many volunteers stayed until it was dark on Wednesday, and tried to finished as much as we could. However, there is still a small section to finish behind Mile & A Quarter. Join us this coming Wednesday, August 24, 5–8pm, to help finish this section and begin painting and sanding the Crawford Street Bridge (which connects Memorial Blvd and South Water Street)!
Also, thanks to the RISD maintenance department who have been rewiring the fence. It was a wreck, see below.
5pm to 8pm, Wednesday, August 24, meet at the Mile and a Quarter, 334 South Water Street, (directions)
