Steel Yard Iron Pour Saturday
It’s time for the 11th Annual Halloween Iron Pour over at the Steel Yard. With a nod to native son H.P. Lovecraft, the theme this year is “The Cauldron of Cthulhu!”
This theatrical display of the industrial arts attracts over 1,500 people including artists, fabricators, families, and friends to 27 Sims Avenue every year. For this performance, artists harness the power of our custom-built iron tilt furnace to pour over 2,500 pounds of luminous, molten iron. People return annually not only for the sparky performance and the numerous steel and iron props that we build in our own studio, but also for the phenomenal local music and food.
This year we’re selling limited edition Cauldron of Cthulhu t-shirts. Only a certain number of t-shirts are available the night of the event, so assure that you get yours by buying your ticket and t-shirt at the same time on EventBrite!
Pour starts at 7pm. Local food trucks! Resident art sale! Alec K. Redfearn and the Eyesores!
This event always sells out. For tickets, and information about the special $75 H.P. Love Pass, go here. Rain date Sunday.
