‘Science Denial’ Lecture At Brown
(2.16) Biology professor Kenneth R. Miller will deliver a lecture titled “Science Denial: from Anti-Vaxers and Climate ‘Skeptics’ to the Ark Park — Why it Continues and Why it Matters,” as part of the Reaffirming University Values series.
Miller’s research work on cell membrane structure and function has produced more than 60 scientific papers and reviews in leading journals, including CELL, Nature, and Scientific American. The recipient of numerous awards, Miller, who testified in the Kitzmiller v. Dover case, is the co-author of four different high school and college biology textbooks that are read by millions of students nationwide.
As for me, I’m completely comfortable with the idea that we share a common ancestor with the apes. I’m just afraid they may be lapping us. (Skulls on display at RISD Nature Lab.)
