New roomier location! This is the same RRYS (organized by What Cheer Antiques & Vintage) held in the past at AS220. But let’s face it, it had become a victim of its own success and it was sometimes hard to eat, drink, try stuff on, and linger over the posters, vinyl and DIY crafts and jewelry at a leisurely pace. The new location is right around the corner from AS220, on Westminster Street near Eddy, in what was until recently Waste Not Want Not. All the tables are sold out for both days so there will be tons of stuff. The entertainment schedule is still in the works and includes live acts as well as a full compliment of DJ’s whom Mr. Daltry promises will be spinning “vinyl records only” (with the apparent exception of DJ-JD, who spins clay).

Live acts so far and in no particular order; Sleepyhead, Brown Bird, Tad Overbaugh, The ‘mericans, Cotton Candy, Farmer John Kenny, Chrisy Gavin, and — “I’m not worthy!” — Ted Widmer the former Lord Rockingham of the Upper Crust! (I doubt he still gets all dandified and bewigged due to his present, more elevated station in life. . . a step down if you ask me.) And of course there is a Dose connection with Annie and dude spinning as the Pommes Frites DJs, and I think I’m a judge in the ‘Worst Album Cover’ competition. And Narragansett beer. This is pretty much the same deal that you saw and loved downtown this summer at the IndieArts Festival, only in Somerville. The Daltrys (of What Cheer Antiques & Vintage fame) have been organizing these things for about 5 years now and know how to do it right.
