Fri 10/26, 5 – 7pm: SALON – Matthew Lawrence, creator of the multidisciplinary installation The Library Show and Anna Shapiro, Director of Firehouse 13, site of the show. As a response to Providence Public Library’s ongoing crisis, Matthew Lawrence created The Library Show, converting artists’ space Firehouse 13 into a library branch for a month, featuring books, movies, music, and many events. Join us to talk about libraries past, present, and future, and the observations that arose during Firehouse 13’s brief life as a library.
