Jacqueline Ott at 5 Traverse

Jacqueline Ott November 2nd through January 1st , 2007
Opening reception: November 2nd, 5-8 PM

5 Traverse is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Providence-based artist Jacqueline Ott. Her dynamic works on paper twist simple combinations of pattern into charged pearls. Ott’s mechanical process gives way to the human hand as her colors tender theory. Ott has put together a body of work that is as minimal as it is expansive.

Jacqueline Ott received her BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence. She has exhibited extensively across New England, receiving acclaim in the press and grants from the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Ms. Ott has works in corporate, private, and museum collections.

5 Traverse is open Wednesday-Sunday 12-6 and by appointment. For additional information or visuals, please contact the gallery at 401.278.4968.
