California’s Dead Western play woozy, psychedelic country folk; the main dude’s voice remains a deep, desperate baritone while the drunken instruments (on record at least) chug and strum around him. It’s a pretty racket though, and Toronto’s Snowblink adds a softer, girlier sound to the night. Their gentle rattle & pluck and delicate harmonies create little musical dioramas, complete with miniature furniture, oaks, and little woodland creatures. Providence’s Annikki Dawn opens the show with beautiful eastern melodies over soft guitar and purcussion. Stairwell Gallery, Broadway $5 9pm sharp.
