Tees and Eats

wantedThreadless is a typical website with weird and wacky t-shirts (pictured: the adorable “Wanted” by Jean-Sebastien Deheeger), with the distinction that fans can both submit and vote on designs.  What better pairing than with Providence’s own RISD, an institution that encourages, among other things, future weird and wacky t-shirt designers. Tonight, the first-ever guest-curated Threadless t-shirt gallery (wow, that’s a lot of hyphens) opens at the Chace Center, and RISD|works will sell the shirts for a good cause (scholarships). The theme, which is perfect for election week, is “newness.” I have high hopes for some kick-ass designs.
