The Low Anthem at Stone Soup tonight

The Low AnthemEric’s terrific review of The Low Anthem has proven prophetic. Since their last local show in September (I’m sure they don’t begrudge the masses for not coming out in Pawtucket that day; it was raining like hell and we caught colds), The Low Anthem has toured 10 states; been featured as emerging artists on WorldCafe, NPR, TripWire, and in Paste, Performing Songwriter, and Performer magazines; had a free iTunes discovery download; and been nominated as “best new act” for the Boston Music Awards (still accepting votes).

They’ll be off again soon, touring with Rachael Yamagata, so come to Stone Soup Coffeehouse tonight and remind them Rhode Island loves them best. Sweet-voiced Annie and the Beekeepers, who along with Ben Pilgrim opened at TLA’s CD release party at Firehouse 13, support them again tonight to this honey-loving Annie’s delight.

St. Paul’s Church, 50 Park Place, Pawtucket / 8 p.m. / $15
(Oh, and I hope the nice Stone Soup folks’ll have hot drinks and fatty goodies for sale to combat this freezing cold day.)
