You Won’t Get Shushed

shush It’s been a week for concerts in weird places. First Route .44 and others filled City Hall’s beautiful but acoustically-challenged Council Chamber with tunes at I Heart Providence, and now Mark Cutler (The Schemers, The Raindogs) and Jimmy Berger and Bob Kirkman of Men of Great Courage are rockin’ & rootsin’ love songs at the Providence Public Library tonight.  I’m still wiping crumbs off my face from all those heart-shaped pies and cookies, and now I hear this title: “Chocolate & Sweet Tunes with Musician Mark Cutler and Friends: A Pre-Valentine’s Day Social for Book & Music Lovers.”   In a word, sweet.

Tonight (Thursday, Feb. 12), Central Library, 150 Empire St., Providence. The socializin’ starts at 6, music from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  Free (reservations preferred: lmiller@provlib.org or 455-8057); yummies for sale.
