“Let the Right One In” is back from the dead (or an exceedingly short run). Good for the Avon — this movie needed to be seen by tons more people than had a chance this winter. (I already went on and on about this.) Ambiguous Swedish youngsters negotiate the perils of puberty while coming to terms with the blood-sucking vampires that seem to be moving into the neighborhood. Some violence to be sure, but it is deliciously creative. There is no gratuitous lingering on any gore. I just kept thinking “Did I just see that?”. And I was smiling and clapping and shifting nervously about. It’s great. (NYT review)
