Happy Endings movie Happy Endings? a documentary by Tara Hurley explores . . .
. . . the Asian massage parlor industry in Providence, RI, where a 25 year-old loophole has made the exchange of sex for money legal — as long as it happens behind closed doors.

As the documentary follows a recent Korean immigrant, “Heather”, working to operate her spa, the city’s mayor fights to change the law that allows her business a legal existence.

This film will be running for two nights only at the Columbus Theatre starting tonight. We need to find a solution to this disgraceful situation. Tickets $15 at the door, $10 when purchased at Brown Paper Tickets, go to Happy Endings?

  2. I saw the show last night…I have been waiting for Tara’s film to be ready forever and it was worth the wait ! It def gave me a different view about RI’s “loophole” regarding indoor prostitution…I left the screening thinking about massage parlors in a very different way than I had when I walked in…I recommend everyone support this film and check it out !
