Dance Geek, Dance

TMIBHUPDATE: We highly recommend This Moment in Black History’s song, obama. These guys remind of us the good old days when occasional contributor Harry Dillon used to play keys in a band called The History of Black Music, which really tore up Faunce House about five years back.

ORIGINAL: A full night tonight at AS220. First is the monthly Geek Dinner (you don’t have to eat and, as if this needed saying, dress is casual). For more info and to RSVP go to Providence Geeks.

Free admission (food for sale at the TP) 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

The goal of Providence Geeks is to help Rhode Island’s digital innovators connect, collaborate, and ultimately make the City-State and its geeks info-technology leaders. Topics of conversation will vary as they will at any gathering of geeks, but many of us will be talking about AJAX, Mashups, Startups, and Web Services.

Live entertainment follows with The Wishing Wells, The Andalusians,The Gambees, and (love this band name) This Moment In Black History.

Music, $6, 9:30pm, Wednesday, AS220, 115 Empire Street
