Sign up your team for the Providence Downcity Bocce League!
It’s a great way to be moderately active outdoors and enjoy a few beers with pals. PDBL’s season runs from June through September, with weekly matches starting at 5:30 or 6:30pm. Games take place on the bocce court at the corner of Westminster and Union Street, right across from Tazza Caffe. Leaguers can bring drinks from Tazza over to the court and (depending on the night) stick around after games for an outdoor movie!

As in: The NBL uses the “pallino” while the PDBL uses the “paolino”
NBL starts tonight. A few cross-league games would be a lot of fun. We need an inconsequential rule difference that each league nonetheless feels is critical to proper bocce play. We’ll use the home league’s rule on their courts.
Awesome – great to hear about other ballers. How do you feel about an end-of-summer play-off match between leagues? No guns. 😉
not to start a whole bocce war in this town, but everyone knows the REAL fun goes down every Wednesday night on Spruce Street. Nocabulabet Bocce League 2010 starts on May 5, so it’s too late to sign up, but people should drop by to check it out.
