Angel Taveras Meet-And-Greet Saturday

trolley hut Head over to Blackstone Boulevard this Saturday and meet Providence mayoral candidate Angel Taveras and about a million other officials, statesmen, and candidates . . . past, present, larval.

“I am humbled and excited about the outpouring of support that I have received from all across our great city,” said Taveras.  “I look forward to hearing the ideas and concerns of East Side residents about how we move the City of Providence forward.”

Co-hosting this event are State Senator Rhoda Perry, State Representative Edith Ajello, Providence City Councilmen Kevin Jackson and Cliff Wood, Former State Senator Myrth York, RI Young Democrats President Meghan Grady, and community leaders Chris Blazejewski, Ami Gada, Karina Wood, Gerald Carvalho, Bob Lee and Jennifer Wood.

(The event coincides with the opening of both the Farmers Market and the Providence Open Market in Lippitt Park.) In addition to the ‘Meet and Greet’, a community canvass will be conducted from 10:30am to 2pm and organizers expect that 20 volunteer canvassers will knock on the doors of more than 500 neighboring houses during the event.
