Columbus Day Weekend In Town

Santa Maria et al.

You can spend this entire weekend eating, walking it off, and then . . . more eating. And there’s a parade. The Federal Hill Commerce Association has put together a three-day festival of food, entertainment, games and rides all weekend. The opening ceremony starts at noon Saturday at DePasquale Square. The parade on Sunday starts at noon wending from Eagle Square to Dean Street. And yes, Columbus is a controversial figure and didn’t “discover” America, but he did bring cannoli tube technology to the New World and he should get credit for that anyway.
