Pecha Kucha Wednesday

FH13 From the folks at Pecha Kucha.

Announcing the 19th Pecha Kucha night in Providence (October 27). The theme is “creative conversation”, as we are celebrating National Arts and Humanities month with special guests from the creative community. To do this, we are partnering up with the Providence Dept of Art, Culture and Tourism, RI Citizens for the Arts, RI State Council on the Arts, and RI Council for the Humanities. If you haven’t yet heard of this global yet unpronounceable phenomenon, Pecha Kucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas, in which presenters are allotted 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. That’s 6 minutes and 40 seconds of adult-style show-and-tell. It began in Tokyo in 2003, has since spread to over 300 cities worldwide, and first landed in Providence in March of 2009.

This special artsy party will include Girls Rock, Big Nazo, Community Music Works, Haven Bros (?) and more.

Free, doors 7:20pm, presentations 8:20pm, Wednesday, October 27, Firehouse 13, 41 Central Street, 270.1801
