Or maybe a third. You might spend Friday simmering a turkey stock on top of the stove (but you don’t have to) then on Saturday take the remains over to Hope Artiste to be collected by the ecoRI Green Team. According to today’s Providence Journal,
The Green Team primarily collects residential compostables such as vegetable scraps, egg shells, coffee grounds and filters and compostable paper, but this year itβs putting out the call for post-Thanksgiving turkey carcasses. The carcasses will be ground up and fed to pigs at an area pig farm.
But wait, there’s more! You can also bring in some of your small electronic waste like cell phones, printer cartridges and old CDs. (This will be handled by Techie Waste.) Go to ecoRI Green Team for complete list and guidelines.
