Gansett Anniversary At The Met

Back in the 50’s, innovative improv duo Mike Nichols and Elaine May were charting new comedic territory. They both went on to great success screenwriting and directing, but apparently had some bills to pay early on. With this often bizarre ad campaign, Narragansett Beer was staking its claim to the young, kookster demographic (and in this case the dictator/assassin demo as well). I’m not sure Don Draper would have come up with this one. . . maybe Peggy.

Help celebrate the 120th Anniversary of Narragansett Beer tonight at the Met!

For only $10 you get to see 5 great New England bands and enjoy plenty of frosty Gansetts. There will be a Gansett Girl photo-booth complete with our 2011 Hi Neighbor Calendar. Get your photo taken with one of the lovely ladies featured in the calendar and have them sign it. We’ll include all photos on the site. The first 120 people through the door will receive a token good for a Gansett prize of your choosing; either a Gansett, shirt or pint glass. Doors are at 7pm and the first band goes on at 8pm.

$10, 7pm, Wednesday, the Met, 1005 Main Street, Pawtucket
