RI AIGA Hosts Design Forum Friday

flo AIGA Rhode Island (American Institute of Graphic Arts) will be hosting an event — reflect/respond/resolve/design — this Friday, February 4. Designers of all types are invited to a reception at 6pm, then the speakers, then the keynote address at 7pm, and at 7:30pm there is a Q&A with a design schwag raffle.

This event welcomes all in the creative industries in and around Providence to take a moment of reflection or prediction, celebration or proposal to solve, resolve, or state some resolutions.

Local creatives will be speaking their minds for 60 seconds each, immediately followed by a special keynote from Friends of Type.

Fans of typography should go check out the Friends of Type blog. I particularly like the work of Jason Wong who seems to have an affection for 80’s motifs, but they are all good. (Pictured here is ‘Flo’ by Mr. Wong.)

Free, 6pm to 8pm, Friday, AIGA RI, Metcalf Auditorium, Chace Center of RISD, 20 North Main Street

‘Big City’ also by Jason Wong
