Need Another Reason To Cheer For The Packers?

clay matthews ESPN ran a segment today on Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and how he gets his players all charged up with what the team now calls his ‘Big Game Music’. For the last couple of years before all post-season games — including last night — Tomlin has gathered his team in a room and turned out the lights. He then has everyone close their eyes as he plays ‘In the Air Tonight’ by Phil Collins!!! (My world no longer makes sense — black people listen to Phil Collins.) So let’s hope the Packers knock the lame out of these guys and a new (metal/gangsta/anything else) ritual can be instituted.

Seen here is Packers outside linebacker Clay Matthews who has just inked a shampoo deal (with Suave) à la Troy Polamalu (after jump). This whole hair thing suits me just fine.

Hate to cheer against Polamalu, but he really should have pummeled some sense into Tomlin on this Phil Collins issue long ago.

  1. Not only do black people listen to Phil Collins, a black man played all of his drum parts live from 1977 to 2007.

    don’t say stupid things.

  2. The fact that the Packers are owned by the city and fans of Green Bay is reason enough to root for them.
