Army General Targets Senator Reed With Psy-Ops Manipulation

hypnotize Taking advantage of pretty girls is one thing, but hands off my senator! Rolling Stone magazine has uncovered another disgraceful chapter in this endless war in Afghanistan (Another Runaway General: Army Deploys Psy-Ops on U.S. Senators. 2/23). This week Michael Hastings (who last summer profiled the original runaway, Stanley McChrystal) exposes a plan by Lt. General William Caldwell the three-star general in charge of training Afghan troops, to get inside the heads of visiting government officials and “persuade” them to send more money and troops. It must be said that Caldwell met with immediate resistance from the unit assigned this ignoble and idiotic venture, so maybe we only have one cuckoo-pants over there. Unfortunately he is a top dog. Also, he should have been well-aware of the following minor detail,

Federal law forbids the military from practicing psy-ops on Americans, and each defense authorization bill comes with a “propaganda rider” that also prohibits such manipulation. “Everyone in the psy-ops, intel, and IO [information operations] community knows you’re not supposed to target Americans,” says a veteran member of another psy-ops team who has run operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. “It’s what you learn on day one.”

Also on the ‘senators list’ were Joe Lieberman, Al Franken, and John McCain (really?!). I suspect Caldwell’s days are numbered.

  1. It’s not just wrong, it’s incredibly ham-handed. The whole thing reminds me of the Col. Flag character in the TV series M*A*S*H.

  2. The Other Joe Berstein

I’m glad that this writer agrees that psy-ops is wrong and sinful. If you can justify so-called same-sex psy-ops, you can justify just about anything. Justifying psy-ops based on consent, fairness, civil rights and equality could be just around the corner. I’m not sure what religious faith this man is associated with, but it shows quite well what happens when you divorce the Scriptures from any kind of legitimate psy-ops teaching authority. I also noticed that he mentioned the Catholic Church as opposing this psy-ops nonsense, but there are many other denominations that are opposed to psy-ops too, as well as many non-religious people. As usual, more Catholic bashing. May God lead all to the (psy-ops) Truth.
