Frankenstein Live. . . On A Screen

frankenstein This might be interesting. . . I’m not quite sure. It requires that you leave the city which makes it a little less interesting. But you get to say things like  “Cumberbatch” on the ride home so that’s a plus. The second season of the NT Live Series at Cinemaworld in Lincoln will feature the National Theatre production of Frankenstein — broadcast live from London. Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is directed by Danny Boyle in his return to the theater after winning the Academy Award for best director for Slumdog Millionaire. Actors Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and Jonny Lee Miller (Trainspotting) alternate the roles of Victor Frankenstein and the Creature.

There will be two shows on Thursday, April 7, at 1pm and 7pm. What is not clear is which cast is which show. Set design appears to be minimal. More info and ticket purchase at NT Live Events at Cinemaworld. Tickets are $15 ($12.50 for students).
