The Nature of Life: Paintings By Felix Diclo

Felix Diclo Painter Felix Diclo exhibits paintings from his Organica series at the BankRI Pitman Street Gallery from April 7 through May 4th. Diclo came to the United States from the Dominican Republic in 1994, eventually settling in Rhode Island.

Diclo’s vibrant paintings reflect his passionate beliefs about the precarious nature of the environment. He paints simple objects — apples, sea shells, and plants — but transforms them as he imagines pollution might. The viewer can almost recognize the shapes, but they are ultimately unfamiliar, alien manifestations of life adrift in a vibrant blue sea.

Starts April 7, BankRI Pitman Street Gallery, 137 Pitman Street, 401.456.5015, ext 1330
