Learn to make your own tools. Begin by forging your own anvil, tongs and hammer to shape metal and then move to creating your own gauges, bench chisels for carving wood, an adze, or even an ax for hewing logs into beams.

Learn wax casting and metal fabrication techniques — make belt buckles.

This class will cover the basics of working in wax with a variety of tools, including burrs and files to achieve various effects. . . We will also cover basic forming and joining techniques used in metal fabrication. Metal finishing techniques such as sanding, polishing, and the use of patinas will also be covered.

Learn life casting.

Learn how to make life castings of human body parts using dental alginate and plaster of paris. This introductory class to basic mold making techniques will teach you how to mold your own and/or classmates hands and faces (faces optional) to create exacting replica’s of the molded body parts.
