Wednesday’s opening of The Mourners’ Bench by George Brant at Trinity Rep will be a ‘Pay What You Can’ (PWYC) show. This third installment in Trinity’s ‘Three by Three in Rep’ program — three world premieres playing in rotating repertory — will run through May 24.
The Mourners’ Bench, directed by Michael Perlman, is a quietly intriguing interwoven tale of a moment of terrible loss that reaches beyond time. Testing the limits of fate and redemption, these very human characters struggle to overcome their shared dark history.
(Sparrow Grass and Love Alone are the other two productions.) More at Providence Monthly.
The Mourners’ Bench opens, 7:30pm, Wednesday, March 7 (PWYC tickets go on sale at 6:30pm, limit one per person).
