From ecoRI News — Brown University will be hosting a Farmers’ Market at Ship Street Square in the Jewelry District near the Alpert Medical School. For the next four weeks on Tuesdays
the market will feature fruits and vegetables from local farms, including Schartner Farms and Hill Orchards, Korean barbecue from from the Mama Kim’s food truck, Mijos Tacos, coffee of the iced and hot varieties from The Coffee Guy, and baked goods from Olga’s Cup & Saucer.
The school is partnering with Farm Fresh Rhode Island who have said that depending on the success of the first five weeks they will consider extending it into the summer. This little public space with its trees and nicely terraced wood decking is maintained and operated by Brown University. For contact info on using this space go to ecoRI.
