Prescription Drug Take Back Day

HL (4.28) The Rhode Island Office of the Attorney General has announced ‘Prescription Drug Take Back Day’ so you can all properly dispose of your unused prescription drugs. No more flushing stuff down the toilet ’cause hormones can get in the drinking water and then your boyfriends start wearing pleated khakis and talking about their feelings and nobody needs that.

In Providence, in addition to the drop off location at the AG’s Office at 150 South Main Street and the Providence Police Department at 325 Washington Street, the Providence Police will also be accepting prescription drugs at four Walgreens locations throughout the city; 533 Elmwood Avenue, 1 Pocasset Avenue, 354 Admiral Street, and 1140 North Main Street.

The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Needles are not accepted at collection sites. Liquids are okay, so long as they are sealed.
